Cornstarch is actually one of the ingredients of diy paint. So it makes sense as to why it's thicker.

If you do small details with corn starch mixed paint, it will get cracks on it. It's very useful for only large portions and thin coats

I've heard marble powder before, but it's a little harder to come by and a little pricey if you're using cheap paint to begin with.
But cornstarch is new. And easy.

Well, for my paint I use pigments (it's a kind of powder paint that is really cheap in my country)that I can either mix with water or oil and they always come off like really expensive paint when you mix them in a putty consistency. And this hack is a great alternative for it

cornstarch will make your paint chip and crack if you use it thick enough so you can only really do it for thin layers.

Hey Another cool hack with corn starch, for you guys if you don’t know you can use that like dry shampoo it helps absorb the oils in your hair I been doing this ever since I found out about it. Since dry shampoo makes my hair feel more dirty .

Use marble powder instead. It’s an actual paint ingredient, and you can get a huge bag (like five or ten pounds) for 8-10 dollars.

This is funny that you do this because when I'm feeling like doing a big Ross painting but don't feel like putting in the effort to use oils, I do the cornstarch trick to thicken the paint 🎨

The main difference is you used a different spreading method on the second one and constantly got more paint after every brush.
