My last tier list had Steve at 18th best in the game. You didn't think I'd leave it like that did you? THIS is my final tier list for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and it's the only one you'll ever need now.

When Steve was first announced, I held onto the hope that he’d be the best character in the game, solely because it would be funny. Lo and behold, he stands alone at the top 😂

As someone who started to learn G&W just because he was this goofy character, realising how powerful he actually is makes me a little happy.

I'm filled with joy seeing Corrin in A+. I've played Corrin since launch, and the buffs they received throughout the updates were game changers. Of course, I'm not good at smash, so I'm glad people like Leo, Cosmos, Shadic, Neo, and even Sparg0 have showed just how good this character is.

Funny how Pikachu has been in the top half of the tier list in every single Smash Bros game.

Marth is by far the saddest character in Smash Bros history. He was so hype in every Smash game and was seen as high or even top tier in those games. In Ultimate, they REALLY screwed him up (especially with Dancing Blade tipper being so small while Roy gets a jumbo sweetspot that kills around the same percent).

Whoever designed Marth in Ultimate was tired of him being good.

But even then, he could STILL go up tiers. He has the frame data of an A+ character and he has his X factor, but he is so much more difficult. If someone actually wins a major with him I bet the Marth player popularity will SKYROCKET.

I can really appreciate that at this point, tier lists are not rules. At least not strict ones. Not for Ultimate. And hell, even Melee is evolving in recent times.

Despite everything Nintendo has done to their fans, despite how ridiculous the top meta picks are in this game, you will see a talented Ganondorf make some sick plays. You will find Little Mac mains that can shake the nerves of even top players.

Results are merely suggestions. Difficulty levels. And importantly, an invitation to push these characters past their limits, so we can make Hungrybox do more tier lists.

Fun fact: out of all the smash Brothers characters from 64 to Ultimate: Fox and Pikachu are the only two veterans in every smash Brothers that has been consistently good.

The lowest they have ever been was between mid to high tier (Pikachu being mid to high tier in melee, Fox being mid to high tier in brawl)
