Lexus is developing a normal gearbox for electric cars.

Lexus has confirmed that it is working on a normal gearbox replica for future electric cars. The technology wants to simulate the feel of a conventional normal-gear in a fully electric car.

Lexus Electrified's chief engineer Takashi Watanabe, says the concept of a normal-gear electric car began with a conversation between Lexus engineers about what they like in cars that use traditional combustion engines.
