Pouring Molten Metal into Kinetic Sand

The Metal I am using is Stieff Pewter. It is a lead free alloy similar to Cerrotru(a lead-free alloy). They both are low melt alloys.

Kinetic sand is fascinating! It is quite remarkable how it is able to be used as a mold making sand. I think using it as a open pour mold is the extent of it's mold making uses. I'm just amazed at how well it holds the detail from the pattern.

One of my favorite things when using Kinetic sand for a mold, using low melt alloys. You can reuse the sand without adding something to it or doing anything with it.
