You shouldn't cover strawberry seeds with soil, just press them into it. They need light in order to properly sprout

I put some strawberry skins in some soil in June(which is winter for us in South Africa) and now it is Spring here and I finally have a bunch of strawberry seedlings growing in that pot. I had almost given up.

Hmm...you need to dry the pulp in the sun first and remove the seeds. Then the seeds areusually put in a wet cloth and when they have roots, they are planted into the soil. Otherwise you'll get mold on the pulp

I sprinkled my seeds on top & just misted water over them. They’re coming up just fine. I’ve heard others says not to top them off with soil.

None of those methods are working for me with exception of whole Strawberry. Which I have not tried.
What am I doing wrong? :(

For the 3rd day there’s an easier way to do it but it’s longer you peel the strawberry like on the first method and you let it dry out on the sun for 2 to 3 days and the seats should fall off when you rub it

Put the skins on a folded paper towel and let dry in the sun for few days… once dried ( you’ll know) just rub them(seeds) out so that you can store the seeds you don’t use in a zip locky🤗also I heard germinating them in the freezer for a few days help them sprout quicker. You’re tricking them into thinking they’ve went into dormancy I guess. seed sellers recommend this as well

Actually, the little things on the strawberry aren't seeds. They are the fruit itself.
This is what I found: Botanists call the strawberry a "false fruit, " a pseudocarp. A strawberry is actually a multiple fruit which consists of many tiny individual fruits embedded in a fleshy receptacle. The brownish or whitish specks, which are commonly considered seeds, are the true fruits, called achenes, and each of them surrounds a tiny seed.
