The low poly armor actually consisted of alloy plates with metalic shaders to them. When halo CE marines were fired upon with ballistic weapons, the armor made a metal hit sound and emitted sparks. Melees on marines made a metal crunch sound.






Halo CE was the only game that did that in the franchise.
