This looks better than I thought it was going. Even on the video those fins do look thicker than the usual ones. Was really pleased when the results showed it to be close to a more expensive option, all in all it looks like a bargain !

I love the old Gammax 400. Cracking cooler. The Gammax 400 and Evo 212 are the orginal value coolers. Good to see they've gotten rid of those old school clips that you had to mount on the AM4 sockets which always felt like you were going to break something.

Great review from The Dynamic Duo. I have it's older brother the Gammaxx 400. It's currently on my daily driver. It sits atop an Intel i7-3770. I used Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut on each of the heat pipes. Although....After seeing your last live stream build. I'm going to try the spatula method when I re-paste it. Good mounting system, same as the ID-COOLING XT-224 RGB I have. Pretty sure for AMD you can use your default motherboard backplate! 👍

I got basically the same one a few nights back, gammaxx gt a-rgb - just a slightly different different design on the top of the fin stack. All the separate wires / connectors etc are a bit ugly but i sheathed them with a nylon braided cover to hide. Seems to work well on my 5600x running stock for gaming, happy for the price (£25)

I forgot to pull the sticker off too!! Luckily realised straight away after it just touched the thermal paste

I could do with a similar tower cooler for my recent 12600 build but trying to find budget lga 1700 compatible ones is a bit of a minefield. The stock Intel cooler sounds like it's about to take off when the cpu is under load!
