Fact-checking Trump’s false accusations against 2 congresswomen

During an exchange with reporters as he left the White House, President Donald Trump made false accusations against both Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Ilhan Omar, two of the four Democratic members of Congress against whom he launched a racist "go back" attack earlier in the week.

I used to teach the Federal EO class and the teaching example for the meaning of a racially hostile work environment statement of hostility is telling anyone to go back where they came from. I mean it's the classroom example for the national training as mandated for Federal employees under the Equal Opportunity Act of 1964 title VII. They use it as the example because it's charged, just like the examples they use for sexual harassment, and because it's charged it creates a hostile work environment. So the President, a federal employee, told 4 representatives, also federal employees, to go back where they came from, and once again he is immune from breaking the law, but I hope the representatives sue. As for me... I am Donald Trump's swing state voter target audience. I recognize who and what Donald Trump is, even if he doesn't recognize it himself, or understand it. I grew up near Hayden Lake, saw the fliers of White Nationalists, remember all the fear mongering and hate rhetoric in all their recruitment material. I hear the echos in the rhetoric today from Donald Trump and the Republican Party and I have left the Party. I never thought I would hear it being ok to utter that rhetoric in the WhiteHouse. I am that swing voter, hater of American Party politics in suburban Philadelphia. I am a veteran and love our Constitution and the ideals that our nation was founded on. I will not be supporting Donald J Trump or any member of the Republican Party that stands with him. I will actively support their opposition here and share my story with all my friends and neighbors. Donald J Trump is using a racist platform, whether you believe it or not. I know it, know the chants of it, have lived it not as a person of color but as a Caucasian person watching a group try to make the Pacific North West a separate Nation for White Americans. I know hate and fear mongering, and you can deny it all you want, but it is there clear as day. Anyone who is standing right now with Donald J Trump is standing against an American ideal of inclusion and instead a policy of racism and telling people of color to go back where they came from, when they have every right to criticize the shape of our government, lord knows Donald Trump has. And right now he is putting these women's lives at risk.
