And i always thought that the craziest things in this show was just things that Naota made up in his mind that would make sense to his 12 year old mind. Haruko used him to get back with her ex Atomosk and Mamimi used him as a substitute for his brother.

Thou MamimixNaota would have been nice at the end, its good to see that Mamimi chose to go her own way. Makes me kinda sad and happy at the same time, like it does with parents whose kids grew up old enough to leave the nest. Separation on one side, but new life opportunities on the other. Theres so much to interpret into this show. As usual with Gainax, they just do excellent anime.
