I wish people would understand that Naota is a victim of grooming and this scene/ their relationship shouldn't be glorified. Mamimi is a victim too, but she's still in the wrong. Hurt people hurt people (corny saying but true).

This anime isn't often too serious for too long, but it's very poignant and purposeful in how it characterises these characters and their traumas so realistically. It's a subtlety that goes over a lot of people's heads, so I'm not surprised when people seem to have a more vulgur takeaway from the show.
