If you are lying then you are simply stealing. Just bcz its online doesnt mean you are not a theif. Sometimes things CAN'T be helped for real, that is fine but if u get to keep the item and sellers are aware of that situation too BUT if its of high value and support is giving u unjustified refund and you seriously dont want the item for any reason then contact the seller to arrange pickup separately. Most sellers are not that well off and yes if u r stealing items of 1-2k even, that does affect sellers. Amazon doesnt care as its just a marketplace they will get their commission either way. Stealing items online is like someone stealing that amount from your salary from ur hands, don't be greedy. Don't steal. When a return takes place, seller is already in loss bcz delivery+pickup is free for you but not free for the seller. Seller pays amazon for that.
