I want to thank everyone who stopped to answer this question... this episode wouldn't be possible without YOU. Thank you for your kindness in stopping to hear me out and your braveness in answering the question. I try to put as many answers as I can in the episode, however, not every answer goes on the page. Please know that if your answer is not in the episode, it does not take away from the importance of your story. There are many outside variables that determine the order and answers that go in the episode. Things like duration, flow, variety in answers, ensuring a diverse range of voices, overall feel of an episode, and sometimes background noise, or other audio and visual problems. I love you all. Thank you ❤

“That’s why I’m over here getting some sun!” That sentence really just got me. Even though she may be struggling, that woman still is doing what she can to make herself feel better and I need more of that in my life.

Wow. That Marine who talked about being taught to dislike women in the military. Not noticing the bad things you do, and how easy it was, etc. That is really powerful, and I’m glad he has done self-reflection. I hope others do the same.

The one girl talking about fixing cars was the most adorable thing I’ve seen all day. Keep doing what your doing, we need more people like you!

" I lost my compass" was the best saying to describe how you feel when you have depression, at least that's how I feel.

As a woman in the military, it was mind blowing to hear a man recognize that there is sexism in the military because so many of them hotly dispute this topic. It is so PREVALENT. No matter how qualified you are you are still looked down upon. I am getting out after my many enlistments because of this..

As a fellow veteran I was really patriotic when joining. But then as the years went on and seeing how the military ran and the rampant racism, sexism, homophobia, etc in it is what gradually ate away and destroyed most of my patriotism. It's very ironic that the most patriotic organization took most of my patriotism.

The girl that likes to fix cars was so cute with so much positivity. Refreshing to see someone passionate in what they do.

I was the guy that was born on a bus!!! Now I’m making music and loving life with a self produced album on the way! Talk about a comeback!

The second person had a lot of humility and I think that’s honorable. Takes balls to admit faults, even the smallest of things.

It’s amazing to me how vulnerable people will be if they are just asked a simple question

"It's scary how sometimes you don't even notice the bad things you do, you know? Until suddenly you do."

Felt that

The marine is showing a lot of introspection and that is admirable. Admitting to your mistakes and learning from them is a beautiful process and takes a lot of strength.

I have so much respect for the ex military guy. You saying “i feel like a creep” was some how so validating?
Like thank you for owning that and being so candid about it. You wanting to be better and openly talking about your part in being sexist is so validating to women who are constantly dismissed or made to feel like its “not a thing anymore”.

So if you ever read this, i think you’re fucking cool for owning that and for choosing to be open about it. You’re a better person for it and it means literally so much to hear someone own it the way you did, not sugar coated in any way. I hope you’re doing better than those days and you are more of the person you want to be :)

To the girl who struggles with religion and the grip it has on her, I feel you and I’m in the same position.
