The word is that chevy will produce as many ZR1's as there is demand. If chevy isn't planning on a limited production then the mark ups won't hold.

Ridiculous, continued greed is why dealerships will go out of business and go bankrupt due to things like this. GM isn't far behind with Stellantis due to union greed and dealerships.

The ZR1 is not a limited car and maybe waiting awhile for any problems that show up may be a good thing. Price is dropping on super cars due to economic downturn, so maybe you’ll even get a better deal down the road.

GM clarified that the dealerships who exceed MSRP will have little ZR1 allocations and they will punish themselves.Dealerships who respect the MSRP sell more Corvette E-Rays and Z06s and will have more ZR1 allocations.The more you sell the more ZR1 allocations you will have.The big markups are not good for the sales.Low sales will result in low ZR1 allocations offered by GM to the dealerships who doesn't respect the MSRP.

i have owned 3 corvettes. in 2013 i paid 3k over for a 2014 C7. Never again. Suckers pay markups, I was too. Just wait. My rule now, buy a 2 year old car save a ton.

The MSRP will determine how large the markups. I will not be paying any markup. I can wait. The cost of this car will already be close 215k with taxes. Eventually the craziness of having it first will subside and you will be able to get it at MSRP.

Not Shocked. We go through this every time a new C8 variant comes out. Mark ups are a deal killer for me. I'd rather keep my money then give it away.

I expected huge markups for the ZR1, and my local dealers are still adding hefty market adjustments to the Z06. Anyone looking to lock in a ZR1 will pay $300, 000+, and the early examples will likely go to Barrett-Jackson or Mecum for auction.

The day they released the info on the ZR-1, I predicted the car's MSRP to be close to 199, 000 and the dealer markup to be 100k. I am not surprised some dealers will mark up even more.

Me and my dad contacted the dealer who Originally sold him his C7ZO6 and we Traded that in For the C8 ZO6 Yesterday we offered the C8 Z06 as a trade in for the new ZR1 .For a little more context he has probably bought 10 Corvettes and and 20 Chevrolet vehicles from the same dealer dating back to 1979 The bottom line is they told him he would be at the top of the list but they’re not even sure they’re getting one he’s in no hurry so will wait Thanks for Content me and dad really enjoys your channel 👍🏻

I don't know about the ZR-1, but the 9 Z06s Macmulkin has are all MSRP. Their C8 2024s are under MSRP. Hasn't always been this way, but over the last 6 to 9 months their price points are very competitive.

Markups are still a thing because too many people give in and pay them. Frustrating. Also annoying when dealers hide markups as added equipment that is already technically included on a car. Don't give in. Total money grabs.
