I cried when the three brothers died and the sister is left all alone, indeed a special documentary close to my heart.

My son and I spent 10 days in Cuba and we feel in love with the people and the land. The people wanted to know everything about outside of Cuba and was so friendly

Great interview. Good guy. I didn’t initially like the style of documentary, but I came to understand the human viewpoint. Fidel is VERY charismatic and intelligent, but in the end a dictator who left his country broken and poor.

R.i.p. Fidel Castro as a African American, gave blacks a free education in health, saved and fought for angolans against colonialist. One of the greatest leaders all time

Of course it worked. "I brought a note from Fidel Castro. He says meeting the leader of a country and controversial and divisive figure in world and American history alike is both educational and a rare opportunity. May I be excused?" "So your parents didn't give you a note? They'd better call in young lady. Should I excuse everyone who meets a world leader?"

The 7 year old girl escaped to the United States later in life. I wonder why he did not interview her after she came here.

Love his documentary! I never seeing Fidel Castro since I lived in Miami. So sad what happened also in Venezuela. Jesus said: if you want to help a men don't give him a fish, but teach him how to fish.

When the Spanish American War of 1898 ended until 1959 there was no rationing of consumer goods and food in Cuba until Fidel Castro took over and still today there is rationing of food, electricity, gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation fuel in Cuba.
