You teach very well, Scott. You're presenting some very complex information - but you do it clearly and concisely. Thanks for that.

I'm old. I'm never gonna be in a band. But I watch the hell out of these.

I was talking to my singer about talkback mic options earlier today, and then later I thought “I bet Scott has a video about this”. As usual, you never disappoint! Thanks for the info!!

I am 1:30 into the video and it's already great. I know that you'll cover what I want to know, but you didn't spend the first ten minutes explaining that I should do the thing that I was searching to do. Now, on with the rest of the video.

I purchased a ProCo Panic Button to setup my microphone for talkback with my QSC TM16. The great thing about the Panic Button is it has 4 switches inside that let it be customized to latch or temporary when the footswitch is depressed. It works well!!!

Great tips! My band is preparing for live shows with in-ears so this will be a big help.

The foot switch is a great idea, never thought about that, my drummer always complains about the Talk Back mic being on all the time, thanks man!

Great video! the good thing about a switch is that you can have for all musicians to communicate each other...

I've had throat cancer and have no need for shouting to communicate, talkback mic is the way to go, it would be even without this challenge ;-) It looks a little funky having two mic stands/mics, one for song one for talkback, but it works!!

I’m glad I’m not the only one obsessed with a clean stage lol, I now control my pedalboard and tracks with an MC6 Pro (with a power bank and a WIDI Jack). You blew my mind with your idea to switch talkback channels with midi, I’m totally going to try that!

Rolls makes good stuff. I use a Rolls Mic Switch for my main recording mic for Screencasting / zoom meetings. Very nice to be able to hardware mute.

A wireless lav mic and muting from the transmitter is one clever solution I ve seen this summer used by a vocalist

After improving my audio mixing skills, I came back several months later and found this super helpful. I finally subscribed and liked it.
