Suppose mankind hasn't discovered the net force, the centripetal force yet. How'd you know that the normal force is less than the weight? It's still the same as the weight at the peak and when it moves a bit from the peak it's mgcostheta and the pull downwards is mgsintheta. Hence, mgcostheta=centripetal force=mv²/r. Therefore, costheta=v²/(rg)!
This is my thinking and I'm hell confused. Plz somebody correct me if I'm wrong, it's killing me.
