As someone who had a reasonably built 406 SBC in a 1967 Camaro, those torque numbers mean fun all of the time, everywhere. Imagine this engine in an early 1970s Duster with a five speed!

Love that these shows are still being made.
I've been watching them since the late 90's.
My son's grew up watching them too.
Thanks for what you do

In 1980 my first car was a 1970 duster with a slant 6. I had a 340 ready to swap in it when the car was destroyed by a Mercedes S running a red light. I put the Duster completely out of my mind when I found my second car, a Boss 302 Mustang. Fast forwarding to now I found a completely rust free original condition 70 Duster with a worn out 318 and it has a Dana posi rear end. Thanks to power Nation I know exactly what motor I will be putting in. I planned to squeeze in a big block 440 but no need when this 410 will fit great and make basically the same power and be 150 pounds lighter. With this much torque I will have to seriously strengthen the frame, but that's a great problem to have. It's going to be a very stock looking sleeper with electric exhaust cutouts and Coker OEM looking '70s rally style Mopar rims but taller and 2 in wider. It will also be getting a third pedal and a 5 speed but don't tell anyone.
Love this channel.

Good build, shows what a 410 Mopar will do with good heads. But one thing to remember that they left out, the Trick Flow heads use the LA intake and valve covers, not the Magnum. Also, they use a dedicated Harland Sharp roller rocker set up at $1000. The key to power in any engine is good flowing cylinder heads.

By far the best results that I've seen Engine Power get after building a small block Dodge, who've typically restricted Hp with inadequate intake runner flow.

I think it would be more fun in my 94 Dakota with a mostly stock 5.9 . especially with the trick flow set up. . thanks for your hard work.

Dad had a dodge magnum with the 360, man that thing was fun to drive bone stock. Roast the tires all day..

I could never afford those Trick Flow heads or aftermarket roller cam. Good to know that the factory setup with a 408-410 ci stroker kit can make nearly 500 lb-ft. That's where I'd put MY money; a low buck stroker kit with cast crank, SRP rods, and hypereutectic pistons. Perfect truck engine.

Thing is a torque monster! No loss at all on the low end

For oval racing the stock bore 360 was our backup motor in place of a 0.020 over stroked 340, (355cid). We normally ran 36* timing. This was on a 3/8 mile banked paved oval. The worst thing about the 360 was the torque, it would actually spin the rears coming out of the corner, where the 355 would drive out clean.

Nice run, colors remind me of grandmas' kitchen in the '60's.

The overlay on the dyno between the stroker and this build were absolutely beautiful. Excellent educational piece

I wish they'd have done the cam swap first to show what it did with factory heads then upgrade the top end.

Wow I’m very impressed on how well that motor made numbers very quick.

Finally, dyno is done. 550 pound feet of torque from small block is pretty healthy. Thought the guys seemed a little apprehensive on the dyno. Wonder what happened to the Ford red painted magnum from like a year ago? New paint job looked ok on the engine stand, but wonder about it in the engine bay. All in all, they finally finished the job. Good job!

The perfect engine for my 2011 wrangler two door . With EFI instead of a carb .

I drive a 1997 Dodge with the 360 magnum. Impressive to see the performance y'all got out of the small block, especially the torque.
