Karen Read is accused of driving drunk and hitting her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O'Keefe, before leaving him to die in January 2022. Read is now facing several charges, including second-degree murder for the death of O'Keefe. Read claims that she is the victim of a massive frame-up by state and local police.

Also, is drunk driving super common in Mass.? Everyone's pretty cavalier about having "7 or 8 Jamieson Whiskey's" and then driving around... going back to their police headquarters to do "paperwork"? Lots of other witnesses testifying about having drinks and driving around. Is drunk driving a big problem in Canton? I'd hope the residents push for their local P.D. to start doing road-side checks, or something... I've never heard of drunk driving being treated so casually.

The snow plow guy from public works - “if I tell you, you’re gonna ask me how do I know for sure” 😂😂 he’s bloody adorable. Just loves his trucks and tried to be helpful and got dragged in as a witness. Poor old guy 😂😂

Higgins seems to be doing shady things, destroying phone, going back to station after drinking and someone was killed - seems like he was at the station to get information. He wasn't supposed to drink and drive work vehicles - he stated there was a policy.

If I saw nothing else in this case, the destroying of the phones would be skechy enough. However that combined with the injuries, the text, the Google search time stamp, all the butt dials, the late night police station stop, the missing footage, the red solo cups, etc. Is crazy. If they weren't involved they would have no reason to destroy their phones. Karen Read didn't destroy her phone!!

If all of these folks were drunk driving then that leaves room for anyone else being responsible for his death .. if… he was in fact hit with an automobile. Still nothing explains the wounds on his arm.

The way this courtroom is set-up with everyone on top of each other, the sniffing, the coughing the loudness stomping in and out. The sirens. Aside from a very weird case.

Thanks to Lally showing us what Canton snowfall looked like that night, we now know there is zero chance people leaving the party and the snowplow driver would not have seen John laying in the yard.

The injury to o'keefe's body tells it all. He was beaten, fractured skull and a deep gash on the back of his head. The lacerations on his arm denotes dog bite injury. He definitely was not hit by any vehicle. Get a grip.

OMG. This first doctor testifying seems totally incompetent in answering questions. I would never want him treating me in an ER.

Listening to these questions about the laboratory alcohol tests is really painful to listen to as a laboratory scientist.

Another day, another prosecution witness that testifies to something that is or could be damning to the prosecution case. It’s hard to believe what you witness each day. The latest: another section of important video that has seemed to go missing. Could it be a coincidence, caused by a server issue as the IT guy testified or did Proctor slice and dice those two hours to help a liking. And why didn’t Proctor have him preserve the entirety of the 28th and the 29th, just as a precaution. It could have been done within a few minutes and loaded onto a $5 thumb-drive. Is it pure incompetence or a conspiracy? I thought no the former, but as each day passes I’m starting to believe she was indeed framed. I’d definitely be voting for reasonable doubt at this point. And I was of the mind that Karen was guilty until Higgins testified last week. I was sure of it.
