The parent needs to go to a reunification camp. Not the child.

child abusers will love this bill! Trauma bonding and psychological manipulation are real.

This sounds reactionary to a judge not listening to a parent who had legitimate concerns for their child and something bad happened. Sadly it doesn’t address the real issue which is way more nuanced.

I went to a camp, it's hell on earth
My father raped me from ages 3-15 and when I told the court, they decided for m that I was lying and Sent me away to live on a ranch with him in the same room, same bed
And guess what happened? I WAS RAPED AGAIN

Before any state enact laws on “parental alienation” they need to have a very clear definition of what parental alienation is first. A list of factors for a judge to consider could be a first step.

The courts know that parental alienation is going on everywhere. Let’s stop playing word semantics. One parent is bitter and usually is a narcissist but it’s hard to prove. Give 50/50

This happened to me in Washington state! My children are now 22yr daughter and 19yr old Son. They wrote me a email that said, "mom told us what you did to her, and we never want to speak to you!" I have two older children that are their brother and sister, and my younger children won't speak to them either!
It's actually a grotesque crime against kids, teaching them to hate and grow into adults believing a life of lies! Only God can fix this, as I've ran out of hope!

It’s sad what are kids have to go through. Our children’s childhoods are robbed from them just because of the amount of hate one parent has.

Parental alienation isnt an accepted psychological phenomena in any respected psychological institution.

Are there any movements to abolish reunification camps?

This is even bigger when your ex family owns a law firm and not one single person will help me because they fear him or he pays them off, or poof, it disappears

Nothing like magnifying the abusive behavior of the alienating parent. Is this the opposite of the Texas law regarding time lost?

What a sick joke. Colorado must be running low on Title IV funding

Awesome idea😢. Let's not limit time with child abusers. WTF.

When was this introduced? Had it passed?

There is no such thing as "parental alienation". It is simply an argument that lawyers like yourself use to win cases. Hopefully that is coming to an end.

Has a Colorado citizen I had no idea a "reunification camp" existed and I'm even more shocked that it's legal in most states

Good on Colorado protecting kinds🤯
