Using the throttle, or "joystick" to brake is called plugging. It stops the lift electronically. It is the proper way to stop. The deadman is for emergency braking ONLY.

I’ll be taking a forklift course next month
I was certified four and a half years but was trained briefly and certified for the work season at the time
Looking forward for formal training getting my OSHA certificate
This video does help to get in the mindset of using these types of forklift as I only know to operate the regular sit down one

I was certified through a lumber yard a few years ago but I don't have that certificate anymore. However, I just applied for a position at Tyson Foods. I'm hoping they will trust that I know how to operate this machine. 🙏🙏 Plus, I really need the job. Lord, it's in your hands 🙌
