Struggle with making sympathy cards? You are not alone!

I recently purchased a Mystery Paper & Accessory Grab Bag from Hero Arts. A beautiful sympathy stamp was included, along with many other products.

I always struggle with sympathy cards. I think about how paper, stamps, and words will never fill the void that has been left in the recipient's life. I generally end up buying a card, or not sending one at all.

Having lost loved ones myself, I know that the loss is made a little easier thinking about all of the love and happy times we shared. I decided I need to focus on what I would like to receive during a time of loss. After pondering this, I thought what better way to celebrate someone's life than to send a colorful sympathy card?

I have never considered a upbeat sympathy card before, thank you for your perspective, it is now mine too. Appreciated the reminder that your trying to send your love to someone and have it reflected in the card. A dreary somber card is not the ticket but a cheerful one can touch their heart along with a message inside as to what you loved about the person. I thought your colors and design were uplifting and beautiful.

Having a stamp/die set for sympathy cards would make it so much easier to make sympathy cards, I think. I never know what to say or what sentiment to include. Love the colors you chose!

Lovely sympathy card. I don’t mind making sympathy cards but I do struggle not knowing what to write on them. I feel like it’s always the same thing over and over. 😊😊😊

Beautiful card. I really like those embellishments... they add a lot to the design. Having received and appreciated the sympathy cards myself, I don't mind making them. Once I realized the card is not about me but simply a reminder to the receiver that I am thinking about them and trying to give them some gesture of comfort it then became a lot easier to create and write a message in the card. I enjoyed watching your process creating this beautiful card.

This turned out beautiful! The colours are very calming. I think it's also hard to make a sympathy card not only bc of the style but I think it's also psychological. You know it's going to someone who has just lost a loved one and is going through a hard time, so that just makes it even harder . As someone who has lost a loved one recently, this card would have been very comforting.
