Hey Justin, wanna say thanks so much on this. I watched this video last year(2023), but did not apply myself until New Year’s Eve. I made a NYE resolution on applying monk mode. I deleted all social medias, and other distractions. All I have at the moment is Youtube, but I watch only for educational purposes only. I am on April and it feels amazing that I want to stay off of social media for a year because it has given me wonders and knowledge. I watch every video to learn more about music production. Right now, I am learning drum patterns before I go onto sound design and I am proud of the journey. Thanks again and bless your soul. 🥹🥹😊🙏🏾

I think the mentality of learning and investing time is fantastic, but monk mode is a bit overkill in my opinion. Setting goals, improving yourself and taking courses should be combined with fun activities. These allow you to relax and maybe even look at things from a different perspective.

This works for me, this might not work for everybody. Going monk mode would make me sad and stressed out because your always pushing. And that would not get results for me personaly.

Anyways! Just my thoughts. Great video 😁
