are cheap gamecube controllers worth it?

I have a heavily used orginal Gamecube controller, and the wireless Power A one for Switch, it was a hard comparison because the plastic was diferent, and the other one was just in really rough shape. I think I'll just keep trying to hunt down more original ones because it sounds like it's a real gamble with a lot of third party controllers.

always use OEM controllers for smash, these third party ones are fine for other games where precision isn't as important though

i got a double pack of 3rd party GC controllers for $20 and they are jah like. the only problem is the sticks reach their max input values before actually reaching the rim.

I have powerA wireless gamecube controller, and it is literally impossible to win against anyone with a regular gamecube controller. They are too fast with 0 input lag its unfair!

*as someone that plays smash ultimate competitively I've owned several power a gamecube controllers wired and wireless and they all get drift eventually and only last me months. But for the months they worked they were great I just hate the wireless ones need batteries*

i got a third party controller and the stick started to drift when i used it after a bit of time but i just needed to clean the stick and it fixed itself

Ima am smash player and I have the Power A Gamecube controller for my switch and I’m on my 14th I swear, It’s literally like Russian roulette or opening a five pack of backwoods you never know what if it’s gonna be a good controller because they always end up with problems

They are worth it, but I mostly recommend using the original

Being frank, i might gamble a cheap controller from AliExpress, i cant stand the wiimote and nunchuck on the wii, and i need a less annoying way to playing my wii games

I got the powera wired GameCube controller and it got stick drift very fast and I did not use it a lot so :(

Use a EXLENE Gamecube Controller. To me it’s a really good controller imo
