Big respect for the continued transparency. 77 QD will be a banger!

I’ve got the G2 and the Samsung QN90B and the Samsung does HDR10(+) so well that you’re not missing out on anything by not having Dolby Vision. I tested movies like Hobbs & Shaw on 4K Blu-ray watching it In Dolby Vision on the G2 and then watching it in HDR10+ on the QN90B and both look great.

Dolby Vision is cool but I find it hard to distinguish between HDR, HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision most times. To do a fair comparison you need to watch the same content on the same display using the same source and go back and forth. Does the Fire Stick allow you to disable the Dolby Vision and receive an HDR signal instead? I would just be curious to hear your thoughts if eventually you experience both formats with all other variables controlled.

I’ve been married to Samsung TV’s since 2004. Can’t see myself with another brand. I currently own a 2018 65” Q9FN with a one connect box and this accessory is a must for me.. can’t wait for my 77” S95C 😎

Samsung displays HDR brilliantly. I like Dolby Vision but HDR10+ is just as good plus its free.

I may not watch alot of movies with DV content but it's nice knowing it's there. And I believe that's one of the things hurting Samsung is they refuse to include DV in their tv's. It may not be important to some but to others it is. But Samsung continues to buck the trend so to speak in that regaurd and it's all good. They need to do what they need to do. But for me and for the money I spend I want all what the tech can and should offer. Great video my brother and I cant wait to see the video on those speakers.

Thanks for this video. I watch a lot of Netflix and most of there content is DV so I am worried I would be missing out if buying a s95c which I was looking at purchasing. I assume Netflix video in DV would default to HDR10?

Unless you all can help me on this, I’ve typically found Dolbyvision too grainy for my liking (CX). I have an Apple TV with HDR enabled and I’m fine, crisp, clear and pops.

I also used the Apple TV 4K (with the HDR 10+) with the S95B and in 4K with HDR it rolls. Specifically Netflix content.

It looks so good that you just sit back and enjoy it and not ask what format it’s in. What I was particularly amazed with was that fire seemed to almost jump out out of the Television. The bridge scene in Black Widow was usually my showcase for that. Wednesday and Jung-E on Netflix we’re also stunners.

My problem with/dealbreaker for the S95B was low bitrate content.

If you’re watching a UHD Blu Ray, Netflix or High Bitrate content, it soars. If you’re just watching an older show in HD it struggles.

In comparison I never had that issue with my CX. It was consistent across the board.

Hopefully the 95/90c resolves that problem.

Interesting video.
I'm looking for a new TV, preferably a Samsung as I have the Samsung q600c 3.1.2 soundbar which I have paired up rear surround speakers 🔊 to, for a 5.1.2 audio.

However, some of the content I have is in Dolby Vision which appears in Green and Purple as my current TV doesn't support Dolby Vision, just 4k uhd hdr, so if I played the same content on a Samsung TV, I would have the same issue wouldn't I, as Samsung TVs aren't in Dolby Vision?

I’m fixing to buy the S95C today, I had doubts before watching this video. Instantly subscribed, looking forward to more of your content in the future. I’ve watched many reviews on this model and the LG G3 and the majority of them dodge the Dolby Vision explanation. I wonder why? Anyways, appreciate you doing this my brother.

@Allabouttkk can't wait to see the finish product with your new TV! Thanks for answering my last question. I have one more question. Who do you get your warranties through? I usually cop the Geek Squad warranty, but I bought a new tv inch last week from Amazon and can't cop the geek squad warranty because of that. Any recommendations on a good warranty for my new oled?

Great video, I’m in this debate now as well as I’m looking at getting a tv. Samsung qn90c but it bothers me it don’t have DV now. Sony x90L because it’s in my price range and has DV. I know the qn90c is a better tv but I fear I’m losing out with the Samsung ugh. So any streamed DV content to a Samsung tv will just convert to HDR10+ and still look amazing, is that how that works?

hey TKK tbh i dont care alot about Dolby Vision, i have 65" LG C1 and when consuming content on it like watching movies and it happens to be in Dolby Vision or HDR10 they both are great! the important thing is having an HDR of any sort than none at all! and for gaming i hate Dolby Vision and i always turn it off on my XSX because its so dull looking and dim compared to HDR10 bright and vivid, also only few games support DV natively so for gaming ill stick with HDR10 and for movies either will be fine.

My channel is dedicated to physical media so most of my 4K discs are in Dolby Vision which my Oppo 203 immediately recognize to display it on my LG CX. I think I only have a few discs that are HDR 10 but to be honest I prefer Dolby Vision it just looks better IMO. I also have a Roku player that just streams regular HDR, I have yet to see any HDR 10+ content on the other hand there just doesn't seem to be a lot of support for it compared to DV.
