How DMs see Artificers - DnD 5e

My current campaign started with two artificers. And to be fair, I actually think artificers are super cool but everyone knows once they were released for 5e... Dungeons and Dragons was never the same.

Can confirm. Whenever I roll a warforged artificer, the DM shoots me with a 4 gauge.

Once on a d&d session I was playing artificer, and my cannon just crited a attack roll against a bandid, and it dealt double the max health of the bandid... the dm said that the bandid was desintegrated

So close to playing an Artificer deep in the Ninth Layer of Ba’ator where my party and I have to escape and we’re all max level starting out BUT we lose levels as we ascend because Asmodeus was our patron.

Honestly, there’s an Artificer player in the D&D campaign I run who is gradually upgrading her steel defender into an Iron Man suit. I’m not kidding. And as a frequent Artificer player myself, I’m so proud.

I have a full on armorer, am plannin’ for a armorer-fiend warlock and in another campaign I am a homebrew that gives me a mech

Seeing this reminded me of the time I played as an artificer and the dm hated so much the fact that I could use infusions on anything I wanted that he banned me from using it on guns claiming that "I didn't know how to make them myself so I couldn't infuse them" so I made my own freaking guns only for the campaign to end sortly afterwards

Joined a group using pre-mades a few years ago. The DM gave me this class, and it was glorious. I made him into a chaotic good arms dealer. Made a medieval version of the Mark L Iron Man Armor, because of obvious reasons.
