Minimally Invasive Surgery using Soft Robots with Variable Stiffness

Показать описание
Submission from the ARTS Lab for the UT Undergraduate Research Showdown 2020 by Maxx Wilson and Seong Hyo Ahn.
Our research is focused on the use of flexible robots in minimally-invasive surgery. Our robots can enter through natural openings like the mouth in a flexible state, and then become stiff when they reach their destination to perform surgical operations. This allows for surgery without any external incisions or scarring!
