Two women killed in crashes on the Gulf Freeway

Two women were killed in two crashes on the Gulf Freeway in Southeast Houston.
Police said two drivers crashed on I-45 Gulf Freeway and Griggs at about 1:15 a.m. Saturday.

These type of deaths happen every single day in Houston. I don't know how most of us are ever gonna pay off our mortgages, student loans, nor anything. I just hope to see tomorrow, to be honest.

Good Samaritan had a good intentions but existing vehicles on freeway is not a good idea

I recently picked up some aftermarket finds for my niece and nephew which required strapping to the top of my vehicle on the sports rack. The materials needs a little adjusting so I safely pulled over in far right lane on an exit ramp (which initially felt safer) and tried to navigate mostly when no cars were passing. However, at the speed of every vehicle exiting seemed like 70mph. I just couldn't. I decided to get back in my vehicle and deal with the rattling sound until I could get to safer location. I will not ever do that again. Lesson learned. Prayers to family and friends who lost their loved ones. Sadly, Houston has become a very dangerous place.

I just dont understand how people cant see 50-100 feet ahead of them to slow down. Construction and police block off sections of the road everyday, theres no way you didnt see these people! Very sad!

The freeway is a war zone, especially at night. Pull over and call 911 to get help, don't get out of your car. You can't help anyone if you're dead. One out of 6 drivers on the road at night are drunk. Stay safe.

The same thing happened just recently an 18 year old man trying to be a good Samaritan go 1:38 t hit and killed by a careless driver on a highway.
