It’s possible Eli and some other main characters see Gman because during Alyx’s childhood, she recognized gman, she also “plucked her from black mesa”
Gman is also found in half life with a scientist two times.
The ending of HL:A tells us Eli sees him and knows him too. Also in HL2:E2 he mentions “unforeseen consequences”, i think

#2 was the old method of spawning monsters into the playable area, straight from the Quake era. Remember that Valve's earliest devs were plucked from the Quake modding community.
Later on they coded monster spawning into the game so this is not used in newer maps, except when spawning in large monsters like gargantuas.

They couldn't however justify doing the same to spawn/teleport brush entities, thus why the toxic barrel river after Blast Pit is a loop.

Lastly, the wall of gabens is visible later in On a Rail, and this time directly in the playable area (vs. out of place spawn rooms). You can go through the maps to check for these things a lot quicker and more thoroughly by using a third party map viewer like bspguy.

I found a few Easter eggs in the sound files for E:Z2

1. There's a "bloopers" section for most of the EZ2 characters voice lines like Wilson, Bad Cop, Overwatch etc....

2. There are Christmas themed voice lines that Bad Cop can say when its Christmas.

in entropy zero 2, in the chapter Contact Aberration, in the construction room that would lead to the area where you first meet the radio guy, you can actually stack up props and get to second floor. getting up there actually gives you early access to the rocket launcher! exploring the second floor a bit leads you to a hallway with a drawing of a mysterious figure holding an umbrella.

Entropy zero 2 has an easter egg in the caves that you're clearing out large boulders in with the Xen grenades, flying skulls spawn with a fire particle effect that chase after you, and Bad Cop makes a "rip and tear" reference.

I've been around for a while and I only knew a few of these. Nice collection, Lucia!

The general theory I gathered about gman appearing on all the screens throughout Half-Life 2, is that he wants Gordon to feel he is still watching him and his every move.

In Entropy Zero: 2, if you bring WIlson with you instead of leaving him behind when you are hunting for Mossman, Clone cop and Wilson can meet, I remember Wilson speaking to him.

Imagine if Back to the Future doesn't actually have a mutable single timeline, the spacetime ripples of their time machine was the real cause of the events of Half-Life. They never actually return to their original timeline, they just fuck up a whole bunch of alternate ones

I played Entropy Zero: 2 on release day, so I've found quite a few easter eggs.

For one, there is specific dialogue if you decide to skip turning on the power during the driving chapter when you're at the garage rebel base. You jump through a window to get around the fence blocking your path, and he mentions you'll have to "Hoof it from here."

Somewhere (It was in the labs beneath Arbeit #1, I think?) there's a snazzy cat named Doug on a bulletin board.

Through multiple level transitions including those after the Gonome fight, the regular Portal Turret that Wilson interacts with (the one before Clone Cop's hideout underneath Arbeit) can trigger turret scanners that Wilson uses to unlock doors, but it always gives an access denied.

Bad Cop and Wilson will make comments to each other if Wilson either causes prop damage to Bad Cop, or kills an enemy such as a headcrab by crushing it.

You'll trigger a unique failstate if you get yourself stuck inside of a dumpster outside of Arbeit #2.

Not to mention all the pop culture references. Hope this helps.

It's quite amazing how he can read names on textures that are barely even visible.

Wait I never knew the couple survived that long.
That changes the initial encounter with Metro Cops much more hopeful.

In Entropy : Zero 2 you can pretty much Goomba stomp every Headcrab. Also works with torso zombies.

In Entropy: Zero 2, during chapter 3 "Chamber Catacomb" bad cop mentions the combine are looking for "some Freeman guy" this is a reference to Dr. Gordon Freeman, the character we play as during Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, and Half-life 2: Lost Coast.

In Entropy: Zero 2, right at the beginning of chapter 5 "Apprehension", if you peak through the window in time you can see Dr. Mossman speaking to a camera, this is a reference to a dialogue she says in both Half Life: Episode One and Half Life: Episode Two.

In Entropy: Zero 2, during chapter 6 "Chirality" an AI voice checks the machine's stats, at some point saying "Entropy: 0" this is a reference to the game's title

In Entropy: Zero 2, on multiple occasions during the game, you can see messages on the corner of your screen such as "E to Interact", "MOUSE2 to fire SMG grenade", "R to reload", etc, this is a reference to the fact you're playing a videogame.

In Entropy: Zero 2, right after finishing chapter 6 "Chirality" your screen displays a bunch of different names and nicknames of random people, some players might be confused as to why, in reality, this is a reference to the names and nicknames of all the people who helped develop the game.
