Fix DayZ Crashing & Freezing On PC, Fix DayZ Crash At Launch/Crash To Desktop (CTD) On PC
Step 1) Restart Steam, restart PC
Step 2) Delete DayZ folder in documents (All saved settings will be lost)
Step 3) Play without mods
Step 4) Verify the game files
Step 5) Close OneDrive/Google Drive
Step 6) Turn off/uninstall VPN
Step 8) Delete DayZ Launcher, DayZ folder from C:\Users\username\AppData\Local
Step 9) Disable steam cloud, delete DayZ folder in documents, (you can turn on steam cloud later on)
Step 10) Disable steam cloud, Delete DayZ Launcher, DayZ folder from C:\Users\username\AppData\Local, verify the game files (you can turn on steam cloud later on)
Step 11) Delete DayZ folder in your documents
Download DayZ Experimental, launch DayZ Experimental
open DayZ Exp in documents folder
Go back to Your Document and rename DayZ Exp folder in to DayZ
Start DayZ after that delete DayZ Experimental.
Step 12) Uninstall BattlEye, restart PC & reinstall BattlEye
Step 13) Install Visual Studio 2013
Step 14) Run the game as an administrator from the game installation folder, try running the game in compatibility mode.
Step 15) Allow the game exe file to your antivirus program/Windows Security and Firewall
Step 16) Try -dx12/-dx11 in launch option
Step 17) Perform a clean installation of graphics driver.
Step 18) Run the game on dedicated graphics card
Step 19) Increase the Virtual Memory
View Advanced system settings.
Initial Size: 1.5 x Total Ram
Maximum Size: 3 X Total Ram
Step 20) Update BIOS
Step 21) Update windows
Step 24) (Skip this step if you are not able to launch the game) if able to launch switch to Windowed mode and lower down video settings
Step 25) Uninstall the game, go to the game installation folder and delete the game folder, restart your PC, and reinstall the game to C Drive/if already installed to C drive, then install the game to another hard drive
