Losing McNeil, Lindor and Senga hurts. I don't know how this team is doing it, maybe it's the manager doing a better job.

I think that Taylor and Marte are quietly keeping the Mets going to make up for JD and Vientos struggling. The Braves really choked their game away, 2 bad fielding plays led directly to runs for the Reds who came back to beat them 6-5.. Of course, this all reverts if the Mets lose and Braves win today.. I hope the Mets hold pace, and right now they are tied with Arizona for the 2nd spot in the WC, it would really be great to get themselves a cushion before the Atlanta series.

You have the meeting on Lindor because its the stretch run and every game matters... If they take their foot off the gas waiting for him to return on Thursday that could be a 2 game swing

The Philly series is HUGE!!!
I know the Atlanta Series is also A Huge series as well, but if the Mets can somehow take 3 out of 4 against the Phillies, I believe that catapults this team to the playoffs. To end against The Brewers does not scare me that much. But the Mets need to go into those final 3 games with at least a 2 game lead in the Wild Card chase. Milwaukee will have the Division clinched long before The Mets come to town and I think the top 2 seeds could very well be established by then as well.
Then, the motivation would not really be there for The Brewers.
So, the 4 games at home with The Phillies, Is the BIG Series in my opinion.

Just get us into the playoffs and we’ll get Lindor back ready to roll

You guys ever consider they called a meeting because Lindor is going to be out for HALF THE REMAINING GAMES in the season? The equivalent in football would be a player missing one game, thats not a big of a deal as a player missing 5 in the middle of a playoff race.

Gotta give Stearns a lot of credit. I know he was highly touted coming in based on what he accomplished with the Brewers hes really proved his worth this season to say the least.

Lindor went down right after Diaz said that the's the leader of the team and amid all of the MVP chants pulling attention from the importance of the team effort. I think this this rattled them and they lost 2 games . I think the team meeting was wanting to encourage them around being able to win no matter who is injured, remind them of the resiliency they've had all year, and to keep them in the right mindset going into the final playoff push. I don't think a team meetng would have been called if it was earlier in the season. As long as Lindor comes back very soon, I think it's good that they are proving to themselves that they can win without him.

Another thought just hit 🎯🎯 me, this is a young talented team and they saw what happened a few years ago when Buck was managing; They folded so, yes, keep them centered

To be honest I think in baseball it’s a bit more common for GMs/Presidents to be more involved. Stearns himself is someone who does things his own way. But I understand the skepticism

Always such a negative take on this program & we have no idea why David Sterns called this meeting. I wanna know why Lindor would tell everyone he would be bank in a few days knowing he wouldn’t be.

Hey guess what This is a team sport Lindor is definitely the MVP but you know what? Even he would tell you that this team is fully capable of winning if he's not there in fact he did. Have some more faith in this team. The Braves have no excuses neither should we.

We have to beat Atlanta regardless. Just keep winning. Phillies should want the Mets more than the Braves in there.

With the payroll the mets have, they should be winning 100 games a season.

Amazing, you never he this Gio character apologize for being wrong. Back about 4 months ago, he was telling listeners the season was over, he can't watch the Mets, they are going nowhere, yada, yada, yada. Must be great having a job where you are not held accountable for anything you do or say.
