Today, I must issue a MAJOR warning to potential Console Customers of 7 Days to Die! There is a brand new version of 7 Days coming to the PS5 and XBox Series S/X systems! This version is tentatively scheduled to be released on July 25th, 2024. However, there is something that all potential Console Customers must be made aware of. What is this MAJOR warning? What do you all think about TFP selling the old (dead) console version of 7 Days while actively promoting the new version and without placing a warning or disclaimer on the digital storefronts?

I'm sorry, if you own the legacy version you should be receiving the 1.0 for free. This is straight up theft.

I don’t care because I have it already I find it wierd that you can not pre order or just find it in the store ( the new game 1.0) because other games you can pre order months before it actually comes out so that make me think that it’s gonna take a while before we can play console so pc it is

If you are a consol player you can tell that the one on the store is the old version because they have stated that the new version will not release until July. So you cannot expect the console version to be new as it isnt even released yet.

So in other words, even if you've bought the console version already, you have to buy it AGAIN if you want 1.0? If you've already spent money on the game, it should get updates to the new 1.0 version, not be forced to buy the game again.

The dead console version that had a last time sale and was supposed to be delisted at the end of April 2024

The problem I see with this is that if they delist the dead version how is ps4/XB1 going to be able to buy 7DTD? Because 7DTD 1.0 is only locked on current gen consoles. so people who still play last gen who didn’t previously purchase 7DTD will have no version of 7DTD to play.

Didn't they already say that they will delist the okd console version a few weeks before the new 1.0 version? They said that on the twitch dev streams a few days ago.

Why would you think you can buy the version that they're promoting for FUTURE use and play it right away?

My thoughts anyone who's been following the hype knows when the console version is due for release so zero sympathy if they buy the dead version.
It's the poor buggers who've just bought a crafting/servival game without knowing it's a dead version I feel sorry for.

A clear update to the item description on the old PS4/XB1 is all thats needed, I think they should actually keep the original up for sale instead of de-listing it, why remove it for people that don't have new consoles yet? There could still be people that wanted to buy the game on PS4 like my friend did only months ago and is having a blast.
