Performance has been solid - battery life has been ROUGH. Should have another short form (and hopefully long form) video out soon going more in depth

Edit: Also misspoke - f1 22* not 23, but using the Alpha Romeo 23 car/demo. I imagine 23 would run even better

As long as the frame rate stays above 65FPS for 85% of the time, I’m satisfied

Heres a comment from a non pc gamer that bought one:
I am not a pc gamer. I bought this for convenience as a trucker. It runs everything the way im happy with. Everything works well. If you are a casual gamer thats used to console and doesnt care or even notice specific fps stuff and graphics that much it plays as good as my series X as far as im concerned and im happy and impressed

Sir, playing CSGO with that handheld console is a crime. I must ask your consent to turn yourself in.

Playing csgo on a controller is the most painful experience

As an owner of this and a Steam Deck, I will say that the Ally is a much less polished experience but it has a lot more power. Plus Xbox Cloud Gaming/ Steam Remote Play takes care of the battery life concern even though it’s not that bad, especially with an external power brick.

I have one, and it's really good for playing older titles and for emulating. Most games I play I average about 60-80 FPS for most Xboxone/PS4 games on medium-high settings. Battery life sucks though, it uses up 10% of the battery in roughly 10-15 minutes

If you're hesitant about getting one of these, don't be. I put about 100 hours into mine first few months I owned it. It's the perfect device. You're not going to be able to play starfield at Max settings, but you can play starfield on it at full speed

the real question is how was the battery after all that?

I’ve been able to emulate Wii U games and games like hollow knight for up to 3 hours on my Ally at around 45-60 fps at only 10 watts which is pretty good.

I play MY switch games, (dont ask me how) world of warcraft and xbox gamepass cloud gaming on mine. GTA 5 runs great if you have to install it but take up 100+gigs of space, I couldn't stream that one on xbox cloud because my gta account is tied to epic games. Still ran great with minor settings tweaks solid 60 fps. Playing through High on Life right now, and 2 more great games for this handheld are the South Park games stick of truth and fractured but whole. Its like they made for the ally. So far everything i threw at it via cloud gaming works flawlessly as expected. I recommend cloud gaming for "most" AAA titles to save storage besides switch emulation, with some exceptions. If your familiar with pc gaming I'd definitely recommend the ally over the Steam deck and Legion Go. Steam deck is like having a locked down iPhone.

Test more demanding titles such as: TLOU part 1, Hogwarts legacy, cyberpunk, plague tale requiem.

Yesterday I was playing on turbo mode Forza 5 (graphics where awesome btw) at it last like 3 hours without asking for charge, it’s awesome.

I just got mine I got the case with the battery pack and straps to hold it to the console. Gonna upgrade the drive to a 1TB soon they’re like 100 bucks online, love playing Helldivers 2 while laying in bed with my girl. Doesn’t make me feel as bad as playing it on PS5 in the game room lol
