Downgraded from a 2nd Gen to USBC because I lost the 2nd Gen traveling and I regret doing it. I miss the sensitivity that was captured on the second gen! It really felt like my handwriting and helped me produce more unique art.

Bought the first generation in 2017 at BJ’s for $69 with my iPad Pro still works great charges up in just a few minutes. Never had any problems with it.✏️

I have the USB-C and at first I was surprised reading online how it's "bad" but I've been using it for a week and I'm loving it. I've been sketching a lot lately.

If I'm gonna make a bigger piece I usually use mix media from paper to PC transfer then color it on my Wacom.

my mom gave me the first Gen pen. she said she found it on the floor at a stores parking lot. It works great with my 9th gen ipad

It would be nice if Apple included the Pencil with the iPads. Samsung automatically includes a pen with their tablets. I think Apple needs to step it up. It would also be great if they came out with a touchscreen laptop.

Switched to a new phone plan yesterday and bundled in an iPad A16, was super bummed to learn that the only 2 Apple Pencils compatible with it are USB-C (no pressure sensitivity) and 1st Gen (lightning port charging not native to the tablet)... I hope a future update will allow the Pencil models to be more universally compatible, this is so silly.

That was very informative! I have the iPad Air 5 and I've been thinking about the Pro pen but now I see that isn't an option, although I'm sure I would have found out by reading the fine print. Since I want wireless charging the only option for me is the USB-C pen. You just saved me a lot of research time.

as an apple pencil pro user, i dont think u have to invest towards it. i dont use its barrel role feature as much anyway and dont think its that convenient, i think ud do just as fine w a gen 2 and an ipad thats compatible with it. however, if u want the barrel roll and the squeeze on the pencil pro and can invest a little bit more money, definitely go for it

I have the IPad Air and none of my two apple pens works with this. (I have 1st and 2nd gen of pencils to iPad and it sucks to think that I have to buy another pen again…)

I’ve watched some YouTube reviews of the Tab S10 FE series, it looks like a nice tablet, but the performance seems pretty low. Can’t wait for your review, and I’m also looking forward to the battery test of the new iPads!

Great explanation. I made a mistake. I bought the pro pencil first🙈 and later the Ipad A16. Which is not compatible with the Pro pencil and 2nd generation. Ipad A16 only works with Pencil USB-C and the 1st generation. SO annoying because the pro pencil is way better to draw with. Now I feel a bit stuck because I want to design with the best pencil of course. 😅

I have the air model. I’m mostly just going to use it for school so note taking and maybe draw something in math. I don’t know which one to get should I get the pro or usb-c because where I’m from the difference is 60€ and I do like the wireless charging and pairing but do I really need that?
