According to the Hebrew manuscripts, Matthew 1 is the genealogy of Mary’s FATHER, which makes sense because then there’s exactly 14 generations from Babylon era to The Messiah, see Matthew 1:17. However, as Rabbi Cahn points out, Matthew 1 is a cursed line, so he takes us to Luke 3, but Luke 3 is the genealogy of Joseph the HUSBAND Of Mary. Mary is not mentioned or implied in Luke 3.

So the un-cursed royal line comes through Joseph the husband Of Mary in Luke 3 and so wouldn’t Joseph have to be the biological father of Yeshua to establish the legal inheritance? 🤔

Please clarify. Luke does not talk about the line of Mary, but it also traces Jesus' line through Joseph. Luke 3:23 "Jesus, when he began his ministry, was about ithirty years of age, being the son (as was supposed) of Joseph, the son of Heli...." So, how do you know that Mary is also descended from David? It seems to me that if she has a relative married to a priest (Zechariah and Elizabeth), then she is descended from Levi, not from Judah.
