Is the secondary current used to connect the starter?

New to motors here...question...is the secondary current alway given by the manufacturer...or is only for specific aplications?...thx

Great lecture. It would be great as well to see some lectures on Apartment demand calculations and everything that follows with it such as House panel, main service conductor, feeder conductor etc.
