Whenever I watch this scene, I get the feeling Doc had a _different_ date in mind for the "red letter date", but he put in November 5th, 1955 without thinking about it. He almost pauses himself when he says the year, it's like he was thinking of a different November 5th.

If Marty went to December 25 0000, a lot of people think he would be stuck there forever. That’s not entirely true because if he was to be stuck there, (keep in mind Jesus can control weather) Jesus could have signalled a lightning strike to the DeLorean, sending it to 1985 exactly how Doc went to 1885 in part 2.

Anyone else notice, the Time Machine can't travel any further into the past than 0000. (no BC readout.) and can't travel any further into the future than 9999.
