Alito declines to recuse himself in cases involving Trump and Jan. 6

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito said he would not recuse himself in cases related to former President Donald Trump and Jan. 6 defendants. Democrats had pressed Alito to do so after controversial flags were flown at his homes in Virginia and New Jersey. Alito said it was his wife's idea to fly the flags. NBC News' Kelly O'Donnell reports.

So, is this where our justice system lies? Where, according to Alito's letter refusing to recuse, he needn't recuse because his home spreading political speech in sympathy with the 1/6/21 attack on the US Capitol was owned jointly with his wife, who refused his request to take down the flag? And so Alito, according to that logic, could pointly own with his wife and operate all over Washington, D.C., an automobile, or even a fleet of automobiles, saying "Stop the Steal" and continue to sit on the scales of justice by participating further in Trump's immunity case? Where Alito disdainfully spurns earnest calls for fair dealing because he rules with a 6-3 majority intoxicated by its "might makes right" power and Roberts remains tragically unwilling to risk doing the right thing?

Alito is drunk on the power of his position. No one can tell him what to do and no one can hold him accountable. Alito and Thomas are for sale and they do not care if anyone knows it. Luxuary vacations for free, college tuitions paid for, free $275 motor home, lucrative real estate deals, free rent for relatives etc.

What is the process for impeaching a sitting justice? This is a legitimate question I have no idea what the process is I'll probably Google it or chat GPTA or whatever but I am curious why are we not going down this path

He won’t recuse himself, then he must be removed. This level of corruption must not be tolerated in the highest Court of our country. Clarence Thomas needs to be removed as well.

So Alito's wife can do whatever she wants, even if it harms his career and makes him an utter laughingstock, not to mention undermines the rule of law and the impartiality of the justice system, but all other American women don't deserve the basic bodily autonomy afforded to women in virtually _every_ other advanced democracy.
