Great video Bro. This seems to be the most important part of the entire pedal

Great video thank you! I was starting to think there weren't any clean amp models on this thing until I captured my own and even that was distorted. At that point, I knew something was up and found your video.

Don't know about anyone else, but I immediately subscribed. 🙂

Thanks! Just scratching the surface with this pedal. Used it in 3 bands already, no amp of course and one gig was a 1.5k crowd, didn't know this! Going to check my levels...

At first I use the pickup of the hum bucker. I love a sound of the metal of the heavy amplifier very much.
I changed for an always dirty sound to listen to the best sound when I made sounds by software when I put preset in TONEX pedal, and I thought, but the cause did not understand that it was strange at all so far.
However, on investigation I arrived at your video deeply. It was caused by Level setting of TRIM.
You should write it at such an important thing, the first beginning of the manual!
Thank you for a splendid video.
From Japan.

Just found this, subbed and liked! Pedal definitely has a learning curve and the manual is convoluted, making it difficult to even get started, let alone optimise it for peak performance. Thanks for posting this as I’m sure it will help other noobs like myself who are technically challenged!

Very helpful.
I did notice something last night re the trim and levels. It seems the trim, preset volume, gain and master volume all work off of each other when adjusting input gain. I say this because, after getting my trim set, i adjusted the master and patch volumes and started clipping again. This confuses me a bit because that master volume is supposed to control the overall pedal output. If thats the case, then the clip meter really addresses the whole pedal and not just the guitar input.

Overall fantastic tone and feel. Changing guitars is tricky though. IK should make input trim based on preset and not global.

Thanks for sharing. My ToneX was on 8.5 and with my humbuckers sounds nicer at 0. I think IK M fixed this after the 1.0.5 firmware upgrade so everyone who purchased a unit before April '23 should check this setting

You could set your global input trim to 0.00 leave your volume knob at 10 and just adjust the gain knob on the amp no matter what guitar your using. .You can then save the gain adjustment per preset . Global settings shouldn't be messed with once set properly.imo

If the unit can pickup the signal as LOW, OK and HIGH, I wonder it there could be an AUTO function in the future, keeping everything clean.

I use Tonex plugin version, and I have hot pickups, and I set the input gain as +15, that way it sounds the best for some reason, it sounds like real amp, and with more sustain, what do I do wrong?

You can set global trim low and leave it. Then use the model gain for each capture

I just got one of these, and the first guitar I plugged in was a 7 string loaded with Seymour Duncan Mick Thompson Blackouts and I was wondering why it was sounding a bit crap. +8 and those pickups just doesn't work for anything. Thank you for the video!

That you for making this vid. I've been wondering why my "clean" tones sound more like "edge of breakup" tones. It would only give me a clean sound if I played gently or turned the volume down.

So if I adjust the input trim - and maybe other parameters - then this modified capture can be saved to another preset?
