Loved the movie but it conflicts with the AVP movies (not that they were anywhere near as good as prometheus or the rest of the alien movies) But according to prometheus, we created the 'alien'/xenomorph when our dna mixed with the engineer's bio weapon ment to destroy life on earth. In AVP predators have been hunting aliens for thousands of years (before the prometheus time frame). I mention this because both film series is based of of the 'alien' universe and the weyland-yutani corp.
