This works in 1.21.3 without extra chunk loading thanks to Ender Pearl changes. You still do need to put the pressure plate on the other chunk just like in the video. I built it in my base in singleplayer and it's amazing! Time to rename my fishing rod to Staff of Teleportation or something. Thank you for posting!
*Edit: I still used a Nether Portal in the same location in relation to the Pearl, but it doesn't need to have a chunk loader. I set this up in my base right next to my Nether Hub portal and it works perfectly.

Tried it in a server, both the daylight sensor and the fishing rod works. One thing I deviated from this video is the Chunk Loader, instead of building the Chunk Loader like what the video says. I built the "Self-fixing" Chunk Loader one, so I just have to place an enderpearl next time. Other than that, same rules applies as what the video stated.

This is not work in the latest snapshot(24w37a) since ender pearl now are chunk loader(with single loaded chunk and 8 lazy chunk), but it is easy to fix by putting pressure plate in lazy chunk and use restone to control the trapdoor (or just do it at chunkborder so that pressure plate is in lazy chunk while trapdoor is in loaded chunk), and by this fix, no more chunk loader needed to build.

Great tutorial, got a 300 day hardcore world in 1.20 and going to be updating to look for trial chambers in 1.21, but really don't feel like walking back thousands of blocks, this will be super useful!

When I create the chunkloader the minecarts don’t go back into the overworld which makes me pick up the minecarts is there a fix to this?

Hello, I really liked your video and I tested it and it worked, but I was wondering how I would do it with multiple fishing rods(each going to a different place). I tried just using a separate fishing rod, but it still thought it was the original fishing rod so it teleported me to the original place instead of setting up a second version of it. Do you know a way that I could do multiple fishing rods each leading to a different place?

Playing on a multiplayer server 1.21.1 Java Vanilla, I am about 4k/4k blocks out from spawn, built the pressure plate and stasis chamber in different chunks, as described in the video. Works like this in the singleplayer world, but not multiplayer. I built it at 2 different locations in case of entities or other things. Any fixes?
