I just turned 59, still smoke but have no lines or wrinkles except one small one on my forehead. I believe it's mostly genetics. And I moisturize with unsulphured castor oil, vaseline while still a bit wet, and mineral oil, plus sometimes shea butter. ❤

Vertical Lip lines are probably more often from genetics and sun exposure. Most women that I know and have known have never been smokers including myself. My mother and her mother both had vertical lip lines and o have them too. None of us ever smoked . I guess I get a little irritated at this assumption because aestheticians and dermatologists assume that I smoke or smoked. 😣

I feel fortunate that vanity ultimately made me quit smoking, despite ALL the other health benefits lol. No real lip lines. But I know I tend to ignore my lips. I apply lip plumpers sometimes. Wear lipstick nearly every day. Often apply Neosporin at night. Occasional lip scrub. I have Sun Bum lip SPF lip tint for low make up days and really love it. Lip line is fading a bit. Seems like massage would be a great addition to my routine. Thanks for a great video on this topic!

Instead of pinching my lips with my hand, I pinch and roll my upper and lower lips between my teeth while I’m watching tv. It’s kind of hard to explain but I’ll try. Relax your face and keep your lips gently closed. Open your mouth very slightly while keeping lips closed. Pull your lips into your mouth and close your mouth down around them as you roll your lips back out. Keep repeating this motion for 5 minutes. It will probably work even better if you apply hyaluronic acid to the area first. I’ve been doing this for about a week and I can definitely see a difference.

Oh I stay home with my dog too on New Year's Eve and the 4th of July. I really wish people would take into consideration what fireworks do to our pets and our wildlife. More pets go missing on the 4th of July then the whole rest of the year. Thank you for being you Chris.

I'm really pleased to see you recommend CityLips lip gloss/plumper. I had purchased it several months ago, mostly because I'd used the City Beauty dark spot lightener and it had worked on my face AND my arms (where I'd got a particularly bad burn about 15 years ago). I was skeptical that the CityLips would work because I've bought so many and NONE of them ever worked, but holy moly!! Anyway, I sent my sister a photo of side by side lip plumpers, with the Too Faced doing absolutely nothing (so glad I spent $30 on it) and the CityLips the clear winner. My sister bought her own CityLips based on that photo. I've now moved to using the City Beauty serum and Body Balm. Hope the results are as satisfying!

I just bought the dermelect cream for around the mouth. Hoping that helps. Oh, I also bought 2 tubes of city lips last weeks when they had a sale, yes the City Lips is good. I use red light / NIR a few times per week and NuFace too.

I’ve noticed a temporary vertical lip line on my left side when I wake up in the morning. It’s the side sleeping that does it for me.
