I live by myself and _occasionally_ drink soda. It's cheaper to buy a 2-liter, but it 'goes flat' (loses the fizz) before I can drink it all, so _now, _ each time I pour a cup, I crush the bottle a little more to get rid of the air in the bottle. It stays 'fizzy' (lol) for much longer.
2:10 I don't drink wine (or _any_ alcohol, actually), but the cork/potato masher/screw trick was friggin cool, lol.
