64 here, home use light daw, recording and working on stuff in a ram disk is just so nice.

Best advice is to run your daw and open activity monitor for mac. hit the memory tab. Logic, for me, typically uses about 4.5gb of ram with many tracks and every track full fx. I'm in the process of upgrading now to m3 pro and was about to get 36gb of unified memory but opting for 18. Thanks for the vid bro

I can't seem to find any info on it, but I'm curious if 8 GB of Ram is enough for simply micing real instruments up and maybe adding effects after the fact? VSTs and other such things are not anything I will ever use, so are those mainly what all the Ram is needed for?

I always have to restart my laptop multiple times while recording a song (guitar). After adding 4 5 tracks, the sound starts to flicker and it just disconnects for 10 15 secs then comes back flickering again. I use cubase and have 16 gb RAM, i5 11th gen on my dell laptop. When I checked the memory usage, Cubase only took 882 MB but still there's this sound issue. Not sure if upgrading a RAM will fix this. do you have any suggestions?

i Switch to pc for this reason i have 64Gb on my pc is heaven compare to Apple ...whit M.2 SDD 3TO all cost me half of Apple ram price lol

I have an 8 gig Dell laptop now, and once I have my guitar plug-in opened and open Chrome and play YouTube for backtracks it just becomes static out of the interface and the YouTube video doesn't play (just spins). Recommendations? Is my 8gigs enough? Is the problem Chrome like you mentioned using alot of ram?
