One thing cities could do is to make these stupid redlights more efficient. Many of these redlights have people stop, idle and accelerate for no particular reason.

I live in a suburb that is not far from Minneapolis. I don’t drive in Minneapolis much, but I did work there for eleven years. Considering the average air quality in Minneapolis, car exhaust may be cleaner than the intake air. Disabled people, such as my wife, have really been left high and dry by this new deal in Minneapolis.

Newer cars have a feature that shut off the engine when they idle for more than a short amount Of time, so this law makes no sense to me
