How to Extract and Descend (New Wipe 4 mechanics) | Dark and Darker

The new Dark and Darker wipe has brought us a few new map escape mechanics and ways to traverse deeper to the Ice Abyss and Inferno layer. This short guide video goes over all the the known ways and how to locate them. My goal here is not only get you your first extraction but also make you a consistent dungeon explorer no matter what map you are on.

When I finally managed to escape for the first time as a barbarian, I used a stair escape and right afterwards a bunch of rock collapsed the stairway, scaring the shit out of me thinking I was killed. It didn't help when I saw the message "Your adventure has come to an end" complete with the skull motif.

Thankfully that wasn't the case and I was finally able to keep the stuff I got after getting smoked at least ten times over the course of a few hours.

Great video. I hadn't played since before it was taken off steam, I didn't know the goblin lift could be taken more than once or that the rafts continued to spawn after used.
Many times I left relatively un-looted afraid someone would steal them like stairs.

I missed out on so many escapes cuz the gates wouldn’t open but they haven’t been used, so then I would leave to find one and get either trapped lol or not find an exit. Can’t wait to try the Ice Abyss. Would have something to do then for snow mountain
