Omi Opi Fan Causes Huge Crash in Tour de France Stage 1 2021

Lanterne Rouge presents highlights of Stage 1 of the Tour de France 2021, a 198 km stage which took riders from Brest to Landerneau but was marred by crashes, some of which were caused by spectators. Mathieu van der Poel makes his debut at the Tour in a schmick new kit designed in honour of his late grandfather, the cycling legend Raymond Poulidor.

At first I was like "wow that could have been terrible. Good thing only a few of them got taken out" then they showed the overhead shot and I was floored. She pretty much too out the ENTIRE Peloton!

The peloton is a dangerous and scary place sometimes, in that second crash with that telegraph pole it was fortunate no one actually got seriously injured!!

Yes - she was grossly negligent - "Me me me, It's all about MEEEE!" - But - will someone tell me why spectators are allowed to be on the very edge of the course with no barriers to prevent such a tragedy. It's almost like the spectators are part of the show and they know it. Me ME Meeee - see my sign - see MEEEE. OMG this must not be allowed. Think of all the work, time and money these competitive cyclists have put into arriving at the Tour de France level of competition and this me me me spectator does that.
