Why judges say they won't hire clerks from Yale | On Balance

A growing number of judges say they will not hire Yale law students for clerkships over what they say are violations of free speech happening on the school's campus. Harvard Law School lecturer Ian Samuel says this does not make much sense for the judges.

As JUDGES, they need to REMEMBER they are held to different standards and REGULATIONS, as public servants PAID by taxpayer dollars. So, be smart. This is NOT a competition. If they want to compete with these private businesses, then VACATE the bench. It's just reckless conduct to play some political game, when the focus should be on adjudicating cases. It's actions like these that make me lose faith in the JUSTICE system. Private business is one thing. The justice system is ANOTHER.
