76, in a couple of months 77, no drs, no scrips, no problem. Food, good food is the key. I am old enough to have spent the first 40 years without food that was not deadly. I have always had a available fresh vegetable home grown fo at least 6 months a year. Even as a kid I had no taste for sweets and chips. I was a skinny kid. And maintained a weight that was appropriate to my bone structure and height. This regimen over a lifetime has resulted in a body that is in good shape. I realized while very young, your body must be maintained because like a car, take care if it and it lasts. But unlike a car, your only get one and it will last your lifetime. You can turn it into a 'beater' or maintain a great vintage classic still in great condition, the choice is yours

If you cannot grow our own food seek out local farmers and health food stores - stay loyal to your health - you are worth it. Also most restaurants are cutting their costs to stay competitive by using the worst ingredients. Going out to dinner is not what it used to be.

Love you guys and all the good you do. I have a story that maybe helpful to someone: as a ten yo in 1960 I developed an infection near big toe nail, a red streak started up my leg halfway or a little more ( this day and time it would be a trip to the doctor) but my mom peeled a potato and scraped it with a spoon, she then took the paste and put it on the big toe told me to lay down on the couch and not move until the potato paste dried and turned black. The red streak receded. No trip to the doctor.

Those stastics are shocking. My husband and I are boomers and were talking one day about how you never heard of so many people having cancers when we were growing up. The medical industry helped to push cigarettes to GI's during WWII and women began smoking too telling them it was cool and fashionable and that was probably one of the first steps in people in the mid 20th century getting illnesses. Then the food industry used the new TV technology to push Wonder Bread, Twinkies, Sugary cereals, many things we had never eaten. And then the problems began even the dentists loved all of the bad food we were eating. It's not too late for many of us to demand cleaner and more wholesome foods. Like the old saying "You are what you eat".
