This was an interesting change from the book by having Alia as a fetus that can telepathically talk to her mother. Alia in a way was the mastermind behind making Paul the Kwisatz Haderach by continually whispering into Jessica’s ear like a devil in one’s shoulder.

Didn't like this change and hated that Paul killed the baron, instead of the 3 year old Alia. Alia killing the baron and then the wounded Sardaukar on the battlefield was meant as a foreshadowing of Alias extreme actions and problems in the next two books, Dune Messiah and Children of Dune. All because Jessica took the water of life when pregnant.
