Would it make more sense to have the wedge on the other piece so they are both locked in? Instead of the same one being locked twice?

So why did you use the oscillating tool to plunge the mortise instead of the mortiser?

I would have left the 1st tenon full thick (cheek cuts on wide faces instead) and cut the 2nd down by half (cheeks on narrow faces - like you did) to leave as much "meat" in the joint as possible, but looks amazing otherwise.. also, perhaps do a draw mortise in the 1st piece and wedge the end of the 2nd instead 😉👍

I presume you got part 3 incoming with those walnut hooks also built for other sides because so far it seems nothing holds them back?

Could this second through mortice make the previous wedge redundant?

I do love this type of joinery and the one with walnut hook seems perfect but the other one where over 60% of board is removed and it has a long connection, this connection seems like a very weak spot. If table was built like this it would probably crack just right there at that connection IMO. 🤔
